Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Diced Tomatoes Canned or fresh
  • 1 small Red Onion Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro Chopped
  • 1 each Lime Juiced and zested
  • 1 each Jalapeño Adjust according to spice tolerance
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin Optional
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Method
 

  1. Prepare your fresh ingredients by rinsing and chopping the red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño, and zesting and juicing the lime.
  2. In a blender, combine diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and garlic. Add lime zest and juice, cumin, salt, and pepper. Blend for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Taste your salsa and adjust the seasoning with more salt, lime juice, or jalapeño if necessary. Blend for another 10 seconds if adjustments are made.
  4. Pour the salsa into a serving bowl or an airtight container. If serving immediately, enjoy with tortilla chips or as a topping.
