  • 2 tablespoons BBQ Seasoning Blend use your favorite blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt substitute with table salt if necessary
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly cracked for best flavor
  • 1 cup Vegan BBQ Sauce Kansas City style recommended
  • 3 tablespoons Water adjust for desired thickness of the mixture
For the Coleslaw
  • 1/2 cup Cashews sunflower seeds can be used for a nut-free option
  • 1/2 cup Boiled Water hot water for best results
  • 1 clove Garlic fresh or use garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice apple cider vinegar can be substituted
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup honey can replace it if not strictly vegan
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar white vinegar is an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard yellow mustard works as an alternative
  • 4 cups Power Greens Coleslaw Blend or any mix of shredded cabbage and carrots

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Jackfruit: Drain, rinse, and pat dry the canned young jackfruit. Remove tough cores and shred the soft centers with fingers or a fork.
  2. Cook Jackfruit: In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add shredded jackfruit, seasonings, and stir for 3-4 minutes. Mix in BBQ sauce and a splash of water, simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Make Vegan Coleslaw: Soak cashews in boiled water for 5 minutes. Drain and blend with garlic, lemon juice, maple syrup, vinegar, mustard, and water until smooth. Combine with coleslaw blend.
  4. Assemble Sandwiches: Layer cooked BBQ jackfruit on buns, top with coleslaw and avocado slices if desired. Press to secure filling.
