Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of melted butter with ¾ cup of brown sugar and ½ cup of granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add one large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Whisk until fully incorporated.

  6. Fold in 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop.
