- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic for about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to the slow cooker.
- Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper to the slow cooker. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours. Stir occasionally.
- About an hour before serving, add the rinsed and drained beans to the chili and stir gently.
- Serve the chili into bowls and offer a selection of toppings.
