For the Drink
  • 3 cups Cantaloupe Cut into chunks
  • 2 count Limes Juiced
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 cup Water Or sparkling water for fizz
For Garnish
  • 1 bunch Mint Optional for garnish

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • pitcher

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by cutting a ripe cantaloupe in half, scooping out the seeds, and slicing it into chunks. You will need about 3 cups of cantaloupe for your agua fresca. Place the chunks into a blender.
  2. Juice two limes, making sure to catch any seeds, and pour the juice into the blender with the cantaloupe. If you prefer extra sweetness, add sugar to taste at this point. Start with about 2 tablespoons.
  3. Blend the ingredients on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth, about 30-45 seconds. If the blender is too full, consider doing this in batches to avoid overflow.
  4. After blending, taste the mixture and determine if it needs more sweetness or a touch more water to loosen the consistency. Gradually add up to 1 cup of cold water or sparkling water.
  5. Once the mixture is combined and seasoned to your liking, pour it into a large pitcher. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill thoroughly.
  6. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled Cantaloupe Lime Agua Fresca over the top. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lime slices.
