- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large cast-iron skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until bubbly and fragrant.
- Add the diced yellow onion to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the shredded green cabbage and season with sea salt. Cook for 5-6 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic into the skillet and sauté for an additional 1 minute.
- Incorporate frozen hash browns and 1.5 cups of shredded Irish cheddar, mix well.
