Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, large egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring just until combined.
  5. Fold in the fresh or thawed cherries gently without crushing them.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and cold unsalted butter until crumbly.
  8. Sprinkle the topping evenly over each muffin cup.
  9. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
