Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar with a splash of water or dairy-free milk, stirring until smooth and drippy. Set aside.
- Lightly grease an 11 to 12 oz mug with oil to prevent sticking.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and fine sea salt.
- Gradually add approximately 4 tablespoons of water to the dry ingredients. Mix until a slightly tacky dough forms.
- Roll the dough out into a long strip. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and brown sugar, then fold and roll tightly.
- Place the rolled dough in the greased mug, standing upright. Add ½ teaspoon of water to the bottom.
- Microwave on high for 50–70 seconds.
- Check for doneness with a toothpick; if needed, return to the microwave for additional 10-second increments.
- Drizzle prepared icing over your warm cinnamon roll and serve immediately.
