Cinnamon Roll
  • 1 tablespoon Oil Sunflower, canola, olive, or coconut oil work well.
  • 4 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour Swap for gluten-free flour if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
  • 4 tablespoons Water Adjust as necessary based on humidity.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Pumpkin spice can be used for variation.
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar or Coconut Sugar Regular granulated sugar can be used.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar with a splash of water or dairy-free milk, stirring until smooth and drippy. Set aside.
  2. Lightly grease an 11 to 12 oz mug with oil to prevent sticking.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and fine sea salt.
  4. Gradually add approximately 4 tablespoons of water to the dry ingredients. Mix until a slightly tacky dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough out into a long strip. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and brown sugar, then fold and roll tightly.
  6. Place the rolled dough in the greased mug, standing upright. Add ½ teaspoon of water to the bottom.
  7. Microwave on high for 50–70 seconds.
  8. Check for doneness with a toothpick; if needed, return to the microwave for additional 10-second increments.
  9. Drizzle prepared icing over your warm cinnamon roll and serve immediately.
