Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces Tricolor Spiral Pasta substitute with fusilli or penne if preferred
For the Veggies
  • 2 cups Fresh Broccoli Florets can swap with blanched green beans
  • 1 cup Grape Tomatoes cherry tomatoes work as a substitute
  • 1/2 cup Pitted Ripe Olives omit or use diced pickles if preferred
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to your preference
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper for a kick, try crushed red pepper
For the Dressing
  • 1/2 cup Italian Salad Dressing (with roasted red pepper and Parmesan) experiment with a homemade vinaigrette if desired

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water over high heat. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add the tricolor spiral pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. In the last two minutes of cooking, add the fresh broccoli florets to the pot.
  2. After the pasta and broccoli are done cooking, carefully pour the contents of the pot into a colander to drain. Rinse under cold running water to stop the cooking process.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled tricolor pasta and broccoli with halved grape tomatoes and pitted ripe olives. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the mixture and stir gently.
  4. Drizzle the Italian salad dressing over the pasta salad mixture and toss until all ingredients are well coated.
  5. Cover the bowl and place the tri-color pasta salad in the refrigerator. Let it chill for at least 30 minutes.
