Ingredients

For the Protein Balls
  • 1 package Crushed Oreos Substitution Note: Use reduced-fat Oreos or a low-carb cookie alternative for a lighter version.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Substitution Note: Use vegan cream cheese for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup Protein Powder Different flavors can be used to customize taste.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract No substitutions; optional but recommended.
  • 1 pinch Salt Use a pinch; adjustable to taste.
  • Optional Mix-Ins (e.g. nuts, coconut) Customizable based on preferences.
  • 2-4 tbsp Milk Add gradually until desired consistency is reached.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • zip-top bag
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by placing the Oreos in a zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin until you achieve a mix of fine and slightly larger crumbs, then set aside.
  2. Take your cream cheese out and let it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes to soften.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and your crushed Oreos. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Gradually incorporate your protein powder, mixing after each addition. If the mixture is too dry, add milk until desired consistency.
  5. Using a tablespoon, scoop out the mixture and roll it into smooth balls using your hands.
  6. Refrigerate the tray of balls for at least one hour to firm up, or freeze for about 30 minutes.
