- Slice a fresh vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape the seeds into a saucepan, adding the emptied pod too.
- Pour 1 cup of water into the saucepan with the vanilla. Heat over medium-high heat until boiling, about 3–5 minutes.
- Add 1 tea bag or 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf black tea to the hot water. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose-leaf tea for a smooth brew.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of sugar or a drizzle of honey, mixing well until dissolved.
- In a separate saucepan, warm 1/4 cup of milk over low heat for about 3–4 minutes.
- Pour the warmed milk over the brewed tea. Stir to combine and enjoy your Vanilla Milk Tea.
