Step-by-Step Instructions for White Garlic Pizza Sauce
  1. Peel and finely mince 4-6 cloves of garlic. Roast at 400°F (200°C) for sweetness or sauté for sharpness.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter or heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-low heat.
  3. Add prepared garlic to hot fat, cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  4. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of heavy cream or milk, stirring continuously until thickened.
  5. Slowly add 0.5 cup of grated cheese, stirring until melted and incorporated.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Adjust seasoning with herbs as desired.
  7. Optionally, blend with an immersion blender to achieve a smooth consistency.
