Preparation
- Wash your apples thoroughly and slice them into wedges about 1/2 inch thick, removing cores and seeds.
- In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon, mixing well.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar.
- Dredge each apple slice in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with the panko mixture.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Arrange the breaded apple slices in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar over hot apple fries and serve warm.
