Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Layer the bottom of the crock pot with lemon slices and prepared garlic bulbs to infuse flavor.
  3. Place browned chicken pieces over the lemon and garlic layer, then pour in the stock to keep the chicken moist.
  4. Top with remaining lemon slices and sprinkle with dried thyme.
  5. Set slow cooker to low and cook for 6 hours until the chicken is tender.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a platter and let rest for 5 minutes. Strain the cooking broth to remove solids.
