- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Ensure no lumps exist.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and both sugars until thick. Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each. Incorporate vanilla extract.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in dark chocolate chips.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts onto the sheet.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, until edges are set but centers look soft. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt immediately after baking.
