Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add cherry juice and extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and salt until just combined.
  4. Fold in chopped maraschino cherries gently with a spatula.
  5. Scoop and roll dough into 1-inch balls, coating in granulated sugar.
  6. Chill the dough balls in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  8. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes or until set but still soft in the center.
  9. Press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each warm cookie immediately after baking.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
