- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create four uniform cutlets and pound to 1/2 inch thick.
- Dip each cutlet in milk, then coat with breadcrumbs, pressing them in well.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the chicken cutlets for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the browned chicken to the baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds, add chicken broth, and bring to a boil.
- Stir in heavy whipping cream and bring to a slight boil again, then reduce heat and add Parmesan cheese, basil, and pepper.
- Serve the chicken cutlets on warm plates and ladle the basil cream sauce over them.
