Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the egg and one tablespoon of water in a small bowl to create the egg wash.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into six equal squares.
  4. Place a square of puff pastry on the cookie sheet and add about one tablespoon of strawberry preserves in the center. Brush the edges with the egg wash.
  5. Fold the pastry square diagonally to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops of the turnovers with the remaining egg wash and space them on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 17-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. While baking, whisk together sifted powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and water for the glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled turnovers using a piping bag or whisk.
