Preparation Steps
- In a bowl, whisk together reduced-sodium soy sauce, water, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, dried oregano, garlic powder, and chili powder. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Crumble tofu into the pan and cook for 10 to 15 minutes until golden-brown.
- Pour the seasoning mixture into the pan with the tofu, stirring well. Cook for an additional 8 to 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and sprinkle all-purpose flour over the mixture. Stir thoroughly for about 5 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in water and soy milk, stirring constantly for 5 to 7 minutes as the gravy thickens.
- Stir in vegan butter until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
