  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Feel free to experiment with provolone or dairy-free options.
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Substitute with nutritional yeast for a vegan twist.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Blend the softened cream cheese with Italian seasoning until smooth.
  3. Spread about 3 tablespoons of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish and layer half of the tortellini over it.
  4. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the tortellini, then drizzle half of the marinara sauce and sprinkle half of the chopped basil, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbling.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese on top is golden.
  8. Garnish with additional chopped basil and serve cut into squares.
