- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather ingredients and equipment.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, flour, sugar, and egg using an electric mixer on low for 2-3 minutes.
- Reserve 1½ cups of the crumbly mixture and press the remaining into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the pressed crust layer.
- Crumble the reserved mixture over the jam evenly, pressing lightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let the bars cool in the baking dish for about 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares.
