  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar White vinegar can replace it if needed.
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Regular paprika can be used if smoked isn’t available.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes, then add half of the bacon grease and melt until shimmering.
  2. Add the sliced smoked sausage, sauté for about 5-7 minutes until browned and slightly crispy.
  3. Remove the sausage, retain the grease, and add onions, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Create a well in the center, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in butter and smoked paprika, toast for about a minute stirring to blend.
  6. Toss in shredded cabbage, sauté for approximately 10-12 minutes until tender yet still slightly crisp.
  7. Return the browned sausage, stir to combine, and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
