  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar packed
For the Gooey Layer
  • 1 cup Hot Water
For the Topping
  • 1 tbsp Sugar mixed with cinnamon for topping

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour melted unsalted butter into a 9x13 baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together whole milk, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon to the wet ingredients and whisk gently until just combined.
  4. Spoon the batter over the melted butter in the baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle packed brown sugar evenly over the top of the batter.
  6. Gently pour hot water over the entire dish, ensuring even coverage.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a golden-brown crust forms on top.
  8. Mix together sugar and cinnamon and dust over the hot cobbler after it comes out of the oven.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
