Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Gather all your ingredients. Chop onion, celery, and carrots into small pieces. Mince garlic and have chicken ready.
  2. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion, celery, and carrots. Stir for about 4 minutes until tender.
  3. Add minced garlic. Cook for an additional minute, then pour in chicken broth. Stir in soy sauce, hot sauce, chicken breasts, thyme, and bay leaves.
  4. Cover partially and simmer chicken for 15 to 20 minutes until cooked through. Check for doneness.
  5. Remove chicken, shred it, and return to the pot. Add lemon juice and stir to combine.
  6. Cook pasta in a separate pot until al dente. Drain and add to soup, mixing gently.
