Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté quartered white mushrooms with salt and pepper for 7-9 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Reduce heat to low, stir in cubed cream cheese until melted and well combined with the mushrooms.
  5. Off the heat, fold in mozzarella cheese, half the breadcrumbs, and a quarter cup of Parmesan cheese until evenly mixed.
  6. Transfer the mushroom mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine remaining breadcrumbs, parsley, melted butter, and remaining Parmesan cheese.
  8. Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture over the mushroom layer and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Once baked, allow the casserole to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
