Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of softened salted butter with 1 cup of sifted powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Beat mixture on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour into the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined to maintain tender texture.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, shape the dough into a log, about 2 inches in diameter and 9-12 inches long. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Once chilled, slice the log into ½-inch thick cookies and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 11-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  5. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle melted white chocolate over cooled cookies.
