Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, kosher salt, and espresso powder.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract and sour cream.
  5. Mash ripe bananas and fold gently into the wet mixture.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  7. Dredge chocolate chips in flour and fold into the batter, reserving some for topping.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle reserved chocolate chips on top.
  9. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
