Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 1 can Refrigerated Flaky Buttermilk Biscuits Feel free to use homemade dough.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Unsalted for better control of saltiness.
For the Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Ricotta can be used as a lighter alternative.
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts Can swap for pecans or almonds.
For the Sweet Coating
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Coconut sugar can be a less processed substitute.
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Essential for sweetening the cinnamon mix.
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon Nutmeg can be used for an earthy flavor.

Equipment

  • Microwave
  • 10-inch fluted tube pan
  • Oven

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine brown sugar with butter. Heat in the microwave for about 1 minute until melted, stirring halfway. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Flatten each biscuit into a 3-inch circle. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over each circle and place a cube of cream cheese in the center. Seal tightly.
  3. Grease a 10-inch fluted tube pan. Sprinkle half of the walnuts across the bottom, layer with half the biscuits, and half the melted brown sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the filled pan on the middle rack and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and glaze is bubbling.
  5. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm.
