  • 6 pcs Croissants Fresh, medium-sized
  • 6 large Eggs Fresh
  • 1 cup Half and Half Or whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard Optional
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 cups Deli or Leftover Ham Smoky for flavor
  • 2 cups Shredded Swiss or Gruyere Cheese Or mozzarella
For Serving
  • Powdered Sugar Optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Tear croissants in half and layer them in the prepared dish, adding ham and cheese on top.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, half and half, mustard, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers in the dish, pressing down gently.
  5. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.
  6. Bake covered with foil for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then serve with powdered sugar on top.
