Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and gather your ingredients. Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add cold cream cheese and unsalted butter to the flour mixture. Mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in mini chocolate chips, then pour in cold buttermilk. Gently mix until just combined.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pat into a rectangular shape about 1 inch thick, then fold the dough into thirds and pat back out.
  5. Using a biscuit cutter, cut out rounds from the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
