  • 1 cup Hibiscus Sugar combine dried hibiscus leaves with sugar

Step-by-Step Instructions for Mango Thumbprints
  1. Begin by creaming 1 cup of softened unsalted butter with 3/4 cup of granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/4 cup of confectioners’ sugar, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls.
  5. Press into each ball to create a small indentation for the mango jam.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until puffy and lightly golden.
  7. Remove cookies, re-press indentations, and fill with mango jam.
  8. Return to oven for 5 minutes for the jam to set.
  9. Optional: sprinkle with hibiscus-cayenne sugar after removing from oven.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to wire rack.
