For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Tahini Sauce homemade or store-bought

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sauté the Chickpeas: Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add chickpeas, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden-brown and slightly crispy.
  2. Warm the Pita Breads: Preheat toaster or oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly toast pita breads for about 1-2 minutes until soft and warm.
  3. Assemble the Tacos: Place warmed pita breads on plates. Distribute chickpea mixture evenly among each pita.
  4. Add Fresh Toppings: Sprinkle shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions over the chickpea filling in each pita.
  5. Drizzle with Sauce: Finish by drizzling tahini sauce over the top.
  6. Serve Immediately: Fold each pita into a taco shape and serve while fresh and warm.
