  7. Slice the chilled dough into ¼-inch thick cookies and place them 1 inch apart on baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool cookies on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
