For the Topping
  • 2 medium Pears ripe, firm varieties
  • 4 ounces Gorgonzola Cheese can substitute with goat cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Honey adjust based on taste
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts can substitute with pecans
For Garnish
  • 1 cup Arugula Leaves optional but recommended
  • to taste Black Pepper freshly cracked

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface or place flatbread on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the prepared base evenly.
  4. Slice the ripe pears thinly and arrange them on the base in overlapping circles.
  5. Sprinkle Gorgonzola cheese evenly over the pears.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the base is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. After baking, drizzle honey on top, sprinkle with walnuts, and add arugula and black pepper.
