- In a small saucepan, combine lemon peels, granulated sugar, and cold water. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes until syrupy. Strain out lemon peels and cool completely.
- Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a large pot, remove from heat. Add in the black tea bags and steep for 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in sugar until dissolved. Let cool.
- In a large pitcher, mix cooled lemon simple syrup with fresh lemon juice. Add chilled brewed tea, pour in 2 cups of cold water, and stir well. Add lemon wheels and ice.
