Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar until pale and frothy, then mix in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Carefully fold in the chopped apples until well coated with the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
