For the Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Always use fresh lemons for the best taste.
  • 1 cup Cream Use dairy-free cream for a vegan variant.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced for aromatic richness.
For the Garnish
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Vegan Parmesan works as a great substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes Optional for a touch of heat.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the paccheri pasta and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the sausage to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add lemon zest and juice, stirring for 30 seconds. Lower the heat and add cream, mixing thoroughly for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Fold in the drained pasta, adding reserved pasta water if needed for desired creaminess.
  6. Remove from heat, serve hot, and garnish with Parmesan cheese and chili flakes.
