- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan with cooking spray or oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork or turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, French onion soup mix, milk, egg, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently.
- Shape the meatloaf mixture into a smooth loaf and transfer it to the prepared pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until cooked through.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt unsalted butter and add sliced onions with a pinch of sugar. Stir until soft and golden-brown.
- Sprinkle all-purpose flour over the caramelized onions and stir. Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce until thickened.
