Instructions
  1. Marinate the Chicken: Cut chicken thighs into pieces, combine with beaten egg, cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper, and let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Heat Oil: In a skillet, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Fry Chicken: Fry chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Make Sauce Mixture: Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, hoisin sauce, broth, and cornstarch until smooth.
  5. Sauté Aromatics: Sauté ginger and garlic in a skillet until fragrant.
  6. Cook Sauce: Pour sauce mixture into the skillet and simmer until thickened for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Adjust Spice: Stir in red pepper flakes to taste.
  8. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Toss fried chicken in the sauce until coated.
  9. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, serving over rice.
