Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
 - Season chicken with garlic salt and bake for about 45 minutes.
 - After cooling, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
 - Char the corn tortilla halves over an open flame for about 1 minute each side.
 - Pour ½ inch of green chile enchilada sauce into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
 - Layer tortillas, chicken, cheese, sour cream, and sauce, repeating until all are used.
 - Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
 - Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
 - Garnish with fresh cilantro or sliced jalapeños if desired.
