Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the lean ground beef and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until browned.
  2. Add the finely diced onion and cook for another 4-5 minutes until softened, then add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, sea salt, and black pepper, stirring for about 30 seconds until combined.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to a 6-quart slow cooker, then add black and kidney beans, diced tomatoes, diced tomatoes with chilis, and tomato sauce. Stir well.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning before serving with desired toppings like shredded cheese or green onions.
