Step-by-Step Instructions for Spicy Jalapeno Popper Twists
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare your workspace and gather all necessary ingredients, including puff pastry, cream cheese, and jalapenos.
  2. Lightly flour your countertop and roll out the puff pastry until it's approximately 1/8 inch thick.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Evenly spread the creamy cheese mixture over the rolled-out puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Starting from one end, tightly roll the pastry into a log shape and slice it into 1-inch pieces.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the sliced twists on it, spacing them about an inch apart. Brush the tops with a beaten egg or milk.
  7. Bake the twists for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Allow the twists to cool slightly and sprinkle fresh chopped cilantro on top just before serving.
