- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Create a well in the center.
- In a medium bowl, beat the egg, then mix in canola oil, buttermilk, and green food coloring until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the well of dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined.
- Preheat griddle to 250°F (120°C) and grease lightly.
- Pour ¼ cup batter onto griddle, cooking until edges dry and bubbles form (2-3 minutes). Flip and cook until golden brown.
