Ingredients
  

Lemonade Base
  • ½ cup Fresh Lemon Juice From about 3-4 lemons
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Grated, do not peel
  • ¼ cup Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 5 cups Chilled Water
  • 1 pinch Kosher Salt
Garnish
  • 1 bunch Fresh Mint Leaves Optional, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Rinse lemons and fresh ginger. Cut lemons in half and extract ½ cup juice using a lemon squeezer. Grate ginger without peeling it.
  2. In a mixing jar, combine grated ginger, sugar, and kosher salt. Add lemon juice and 1 cup of chilled water. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Place a strainer over a pitcher, pour the lemon-ginger mixture into it, pressing down on the solids to extract juice.
  4. Add 4 cups of chilled water to the pitcher and stir. Serve over ice with fresh mint leaves as garnish.
