  • 1 tablespoon Steak seasoning or your favorite seasoning blend
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder or garlic powder

For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces Penne pasta or fusilli or whole wheat pasta
For the Salad Base
  • 4 cups Romaine lettuce or mixed greens or spinach
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese or any hard cheese
For the Dressing
  • 2 limes Limes or substitute with lemon juice

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by coating the chicken breasts with olive oil and seasoning them with steak seasoning, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  3. Once the chicken has rested for about 5 minutes, slice it into thin strips.
  4. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped romaine and parmesan cheese. Fold in the cooled chicken and cooked penne, then squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture and toss.
